And as expected, alt-f7 works on my netbook. My window manager is metacity  
running in
gnome on Fedora 11. By researching the key bindings used by your window  
manager on
ubuntu you should be able to do something similar or tune it's settings  
appropriately
to allow that. I'm not claiming this is the right solution but at least you  
get to see
the rest of the dialog ...
