What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Visit
http://ebooks.adelaide.edu.au/k/keynes/john_maynard/k44g/k44g.html
2. Select "This book is chiefly addressed to my fellow economists."
3. Paste it into a new TextEdit document.

What is the expected result?

The paste preserves the font style of the text.

What happens instead?

The paste contains a gray background and a smaller font size than the
text.
