I'm unable to reproduce this in 4.0.211.2-r26474. I'm using the dev
channel package,
which doesn't include a parenthesis in its version number; it's just
numbers and
periods -- I wonder if this could be related.
If you're seeing this in text inputs in web pages as well, it's probably a
separate
issue, since those are rendered by Webkit while the about dialog is GTK.
Please open
another bug if you find a way to reliably reproduce this in text inputs.
