Comment #22 on issue 16072 by [email protected]: Downloads in incognito mode don't show in Downloads page http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16072
I disagree with the position of the chromium team as well. The expectation of users is for the browser to operate as usual for that one session. Once that session is ended, all the data from that session is erased. As pointed out by several users the behavior of the browser in its current state also suggests this assertion. This is evidenced the fact that the "Show all downloads" link on the download bar and, when a browser close is attempted, and the "Wait for downloads to finish box" is selected, the downloads page appears. No matter what the chromium team believes, users think that the browser is broken. It has, several times, made me resort to the Internet Explorer InPrivate browsing in order to download on public computers, while still being able to monitor what I am downloading. Please fix it. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
