I've noticed it's not just gmail - it's at least one other web page with a stored login user/pass. For example, I log into the PC this morning, start Chrome for the first time today, go to facebook.com. My login/pass is stored and when I hit the login button, it redirects me to a 2nd login page - with the same stored user/pass.
