page navigation
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=23530
Chrome Version : 3.0.195.21
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested: IE7 & Firefox3
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 4: FAILS
Firefox 3.x: OK
IE 7: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use attached HTML file
2. Enter text in the textarea
3. Click either the button or the link
What is the expected result?
A popup appears warning you that your entries have not been submitted and
allowing you to continue or cancel
What happens instead?
No popup, page navigates, form entries can be lost
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
N.B. although IE7 does successfully cancel the navigation it does give a js
error when the button is clicked. The link works fine.
Firefox works perfectly with button and link.
