Status: Unconfirmed Owner: ---- Labels: Type-Bug Pri-2 OS-All Area-Misc New issue 23544 by spe.stani.be: Text Area screws up text layout (with restructured text) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=23544
Chrome Version : 4.0.219.4 (Developer Build Ubuntu build 27360) URLs (if applicable) : http://us.pycon.org/2010/conference/proposals/example1/ Other browsers tested: Firefox 3.5 Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Firefox 3.5: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Go to http://us.pycon.org/2010/conference/proposals/example1/ 2. Scroll down to text area under 'Description:' 3. Look to the bullet list hierarchy in restructured text format. In Chrome the hierarchy gets lost or corrupted. What is the expected result? Compare the same text area in Firefox 3.5 There the text layout is correct. What happens instead? Google chrome makes it impossible to edit restructured text (with indented bullet lists) in a text area. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. I wanted to submit a proposal for pycon and had to switch to Firefox in order to do it. Try yourself to edit (make a change in the bullet list) and press preview. It just doesn't work. This bug is probably more easy to recognize if you are familiar with restructured text as most python developers are. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
