New issue 23729 by geert.verhaag: F11, ctrl+F4 and backspace shortkeys/keystrokes respond twice/double. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=23729 Chrome Version: Chromium 4.0.221.1 (Ubuntu build 27838) <include svn revno; e.g. dpkg -s chromium-browser> OS + version : Ubuntu 9.04 CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 32-bit window manager : Gnome URLs (if applicable) : not applicable Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): no issues in any other program Behavior in Chrome for Windows (optional): not applicable What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. I just updated to version 4.0.221.1 (Ubuntu build 27838). I had no problems before the update. 2.Start Chromium and then open a page (other than the Chromium home page). 3.Type F11. Open another tab and load one page and then another in that same tab, type in a text field on that sedond page and press backspace once to remove one letter. Also press ctrl+F4 to close one tab. What is the expected result? F11, ctrl+F4 and backspace respond once like any other keystroke. What happens instead? F11, ctrl+F4 and backspace respond twice. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot and backtrace if possible. After the update, when I use F11 for full screen, ctrl+F4 for close tab and backspace to remove a letter in a text field it responds twice. Upon F11 I see the window go full screen and back, upon ctrl+F4 it closes two tabs instead of one. When typing in a text field (i.e. Google search box) and typing backspace it removes one letter and then goes back to the last page. So backspace in a text field responds twice: once as it should and then once as the back button. F11 only responds the right way (meaning: only once) when I'm in a new tab with the default home page displayed (ONLY on the page that's called "the home page" under "On startup" in the "Basics" tab of the options). -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
