New issue 23735 by timtebeek: Clicking "Forward" on pages containing
a 'Next'-hyperlink does redirect to 'Next'-page
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=23735
Chrome Version : X
URLs (if applicable) : Any manual / book / archive / blog / slideshow
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 4: FAIL
Firefox 3.x: FAIL
IE 7: FAIL
IE 8: FAIL
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to a page clearly indicating sequential reading order
2. Click "Move history forward" or use corresponding mouse-button
What is the expected result?
User is redirected to the semantically 'Next'-page.
What happens instead?
Nothing.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
Might lead to some confusion at first, but in general would make navigating
using the Forward and Backward buttons easier. Estimating which page is
semantically 'Next' shouldn't be hard to get right in most common cases,
and could be adjusted based on prior viewed page.
