Comment #6 on issue 9050 by olostan: Chrom into system tray http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9050
One of the outstanding feature of Google Chrome is possibility to make an 'Application shortcut' to launch web site as web application (GMail for example). But some of those application are required to be constantly running, so it is very inconvenient to keep them in task-bar. As for me, an option in web application's title menu to minimize into tray would be excellent solution. Or add a command-line option to shortcut like '--minimize-to-tray' if '--app' option is present. Of course that would be OS-depended feature, but chromium already has such OS- depended features (like transparent title for Vista). Other browsers do not have this feature because they do not have 'app' mode. But as in chromium there is such option, 'minimizing to tray' should be considered as useful also. I am sure that code change would not be a big, but that would be a really cool feature. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
