Comment #15 on issue 22948 by [email protected]: web pages eating lots of CPU http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=22948
I had this happen to me today on my MacBookPro: Gmail, Calendar and Wave open in separate tabs. Laptop was untouched the whole day, once I got back to it in the afternoon, the fan was running at high speed. One core was consumed at 100% by a renderer process, a second Chrome process was consuming about 30% of the second core (I did not identify what it was running). Sampling was inconclusive partly due to missing symbols. The calendar tab must have had a meeting notification dialog open for about 5 hours at the time. Closing the notification dialog made the cpu usage calm down almost instantly. I have not tried to reproduce this behavior as I needed my machine since. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
