Comment #2 on issue 16694 by iarkeus: Chrome freezes requiring hard reboot
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16694

I have been having this same problem, but I have some information that
could be
useful.

Sometimes the browser runs flawlessly.

However, after awhile (randomly) it will start with the freezing. And it
works like
this:

After a freeze I have about 5-10 seconds where I can browse between pages
fine, with
absolutely no problems. However, the next network action I do will cause it
to freeze
up for about 3-5 seconds. For example, I can be browsing google search for
awhile,
and then after my freedom 5-10 seconds are up, the next link I click will
cause it to
freeze before loading the page. However, it applies to any network action.
For
example, if I'm at a freezing point and I start to type in google search,
it will use
the network to try to find something for autocomplete, and freeze for a few
seconds
before sending the request and the autocomplete showing up. While streaming
video it
will freeze ~10 seconds because it's constantly using the network.

Closing out of the browser ending all google processes doesn't work to fix
it. I also
recently tried running a nightly build (4 point something) of chromium and
it's the
same problem. Tried using the --in-process-plugins and it doesn't fix it,
nor does
uninstalling and reinstalling flash (as some people said those fix stuff).

However, something also to add, it seems it may be related to the internet
being used
also. For example, it was happening on campus internet last june, but when
I was at
home over the summer I don't think it happened once, but now that I am back
at
school, it is happening again.

Hope this information helps. (I hate swapping to another browser when it
starts
happening and I'm in not in a position to restart).
