Restarting (and reactivating compiz) returned the flickering issue.
Disabling compiz remedies the flicker, so it would seem they are directly
related.
Attached is my compiz profile setting (including defaults). It's only in
full screen
(F11) that it has this issue. Full screen with all-in-one bar and tabs does
NOT have
flicker.
Also it only happens when clicking over to another application. Running
full screen
and simply clicking over to the desktop on second monitor does not cause a
flicker.
Opening an application on the second monitor and then clicking back and
forth on the
application causes the flicker.
