Do we understand why this same case isn't super-janky on win/linux too?
It should be really easy to turn off animation entirely in the tab strip
(there's a flag on
the layout call that overrides), does it still happen with animation off? I
expect it will,
just might help to eliminate it from the trace while investigating.
