What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. set Chrome as default browser in Chrome preferences
2. set Chrome as default browser in Safari preferences
3. click on a hyperlink in Mail or another application that is not Chrome
What is the expected result?
Link will open in Chrome
What happens instead?
Link opens in Safari and changes the default settings to Safari.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
I have noticed that this only occurs when I click on a link that is not in
the
Chrome browser. If I click on links that are in the browser they open in a
new tab but as soon as I click on a link in another program, it changes the
settings and opens in Safari, which has never been my default browser to
begin with.
Might be a duplicate. I thought I saw this posted somewhere else but I
can't find it when I do a search.
