By rereading this bug report (at least comment 4), I just saw that it is more or less completely useless: the behavior is obviously the wanted one --> no "--enable-sync" option means no menu item, "--enable-sync" activated means menu item visible. However, the "real bug" that I wanted to report was that the "Sync my bookmarks..." menu was disappearing during one and unique browser session, I mean without restarting it: the menu is there >> I browse the web for an undefined amount of time >> the menu is not there anymore (I did not restart the browser). This was obviously linked to the double separation bar bug (screenshot). I however was not able to reproduce it on 4.0.222.12 (Official Build 29069), thus consider it as fixed.
