New issue 26043 by netherlight: every 30 minutes chrome (browser) uses 100%
cpu for 10ish seconds
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=26043
Chrome Version : 3.0.195.27 (Official Build 28507)
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 4:
Firefox 3.x:
IE 7:
IE 8:
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open a few tabs (I have gmail.com, my corporate gmail, google calendar,
gamefaqs, a few google search tabs) - it doesn't really matter though
2. every 30 minutes (almost exactly 30 minutes each time), google chrome
will kill my system and use 100% CPU for a few (maybe 15ish) seconds.
opening up the task manager with shift-escape shows that it's the "Browser"
that's doing it.
What is the expected result?
Not using 100% CPU.
What happens instead?
100% CPU usage.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
I notice this in particular while doing s/thing else CPU intensive (like
most of my computer games). Not sure if this has anything to do w/ focus -
I only notice this while focused on other applications...though it might
happen while focused on chrome too.
