Zach, can you look at this? Brad is swamped, and you're the resident expert
on the
notifier code I think :) We do network detection (for sync servers
specifically) in
syncapi.cc (See the AddressWatchThread stuff)... not sure if we could reuse
that
somehow. It uses device status changes as a signal to try and connect
(using a simple
'get_time' request to sync servers, rather than solely relying on the
status of the
device. If you can't take it, any info you have would be great, and you
may re-assign
to me.
