This is quite brilliant! I'm coming from <a title="Insanely high CPU consumption by Chrome" class=closed_ref href="/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=23523"> Issue 23523 </a> - installed the latest build of Chromium this morning and have been running smoothly for 40 minutes now with Gmail, Greader, and Wave open - these are usually more than enough to bring Chrome to a grinding halt.
