Status: Unconfirmed Owner: ---- Labels: Type-Bug Pri-2 OS-All Area-Misc New issue 26232 by [email protected]: Bookmark import fails after forced first-run UI http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=26232
Mac OS 10.5.8 Chrome Version : 4.0.223.11 Firefox 3.5.3 On first use, bookmarks were imported fine from Firefox. But upon triggering a first-run import for the second time, the process finished without my existing bookmarks being changed or overwritten. It was a false import. What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Trigger first run import UI """ To retrigger the first run UI (steps are untested, so use at your own risk): * Quit Chrome. * Delete the ~/Library/Application\ Support/Google/Chrome/First\ Run* file. * Restart Chrome. """ 2. Work way through wizard to import bookmarks from Firefox (I did not have Firefox browser open at this time) What is the expected result? That my existing bookmarks would be wiped clean and replaced with the ones from Firefox. What happens instead? The 'second' first-run import process finished without my existing bookmarks being changed or overwritten. It was a false import. Please provide any additional information below.
