Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the insight -- I think my suspicions were correct, AV programs  
(including McAfee) can
sometimes cause conflicts with Chrome that cause the system to crash.  Here  
are two bugs concerning
McAfee specifically:

Others have reported that using the --no-sandbox parameter fixes the  
crashing for them, so if it
starts crashing again, I'd suggest trying that.  If it works again, then  
the issue is almost certainly
the AV program.
