The problem seems to be that it requires gcc 4.2 or greater and CentOS/RHEL have gcc 4.1 @Marek Shimara, have you successfully built, using those instructions, on CentOS or RHEL? It would be nice to have it available on these two, as they're certainly not rare distributions.
