Comment #4 on issue 25093 by [email protected]: Kernel Panic on Linux Ubuntu
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=25093

In Ubuntu, when there's a crash (incl kernel issues), there's a file in
/var/crash
and on the next startup, apport fires up and asks the user if he wants to
submit a
bug on launchpad. When it's a kernel issue, apport triggers some hooks to
gather even
more information.
