Here's a count of file API calls on the UI thread against r30402:
- sandbox init: 61
- pref service: 10
- last shutdown: 11
- extensions: 1
- autocomplete init: 34
- visited links init: 5
- cookies init: 14
Unsure how much of a real hit (if any) we take for these.
