Comment #63 on issue 8022 by iambob: Add address bar and other controls to full screen mode http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=8022
Just a bit of clarification. Chrome didn't change its model by adding extensions because of public demand. Extensions were on the road-map all along. It was just lower on the priority list than features such as a bookmark manager manager. What happens when a brand new web browser hits the market, people expect it to roll out on day one with the same features existing browser have after over five years of development. The issue is, this is an open source browser... being developed in the public eye... driven by a company with a "release early, release often" philosophy. Even what is added to Chrome two years from now have likely been on the road-map all along, but needed time to get developed. For instance, from day one of Chrome's development, it was understood that it would become the foundation for Google Chrome OS. Google Chrome OS wasn't just an afterthought... nor was it due to public demand. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
