What do you mean, since the button is already disabled? The default browser  
check runs
whenever it tries to display that button, and on every startup unless  
you've asked it not
to check. It doesn't save the result anywhere, so I'd think if you quit the  
browser and
started it up again as admin, then that API call should work at that  
point... but maybe
they didn't actually restart the browser, just started a new window in the  
existing one?
