As with issue 27672, the current ruby implementation strictly follows the  
HTML5 spec rather than
the XHTML/CSS3 spec. Complex ruby and all CSS3 ruby attributes are not  
(yet) implemented.
Implementation of further improvements is definitely intended, but needs  
further discussion on the
details.

Complex ruby as defined in the CSS3 spec is one of the more controversial  
items, and so will
probably be one of the later things to become implemented, if at all. Real  
world use cases would
esp. help here to drive the issues, though.
