Comment #67 on issue 5083 by gitit00: High browser process CPU usage from Flash on Vista http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=5083
All I can say is that the exact quote "open any page in the NYTimes website and cpu goes to 80%" is completely true. This is a ridiculous problem and I am only having it in Chrome, which I have been using since the day it was released. Since I upgraded my OS to Win7, the problem is occurring far more often - but I also had older versions of flash when this same machine was Vista. My mac laptop running windows goes into wicked hot mode anytime I open a chrome page with flash. If I left it overnight I am sure my battery would explode due to the heat. It's nice to see people here trying to figure out where the source lies, but if G won't put in the effort themselves then what's the point of fighting it? Looks like I am stuck in IE until this is fixed, and believe me that is something I enjoy very little. But at least my computers are safe. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
