this issue has not been resolved in the latest release (3.0.195.33) or development version (4.0.249.4) i have my entire userprofile directory (C:\Documents and Settings) linked to D:\Profiles, and i went as far as removing ALL google software on the machine to see if it was something related to another application before i found this issue page. setting the %TMP% and %TEMP% to C:\Temp does indeed make it work as expected, but is not a solution to the problem, it is simply a workaround -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
