It would appear that the entire modules/preprocs, modules/dbgformats/*, and modules/arch directories, as well as genstring.c, x86insn_nasm.gperf, and libyasm.h were missing from (at least) the snapshot of chromium (r32738). I grabbed the source from svn and copied the missing files / directories to the chromium tree and the yasm code built, but now am getting a separate issue: make: *** No rule to make target `third_party/ffmpeg/source/patched-ffmpeg-mt/libavcodec/x86/dsputil_yasm.asm', needed by `out/Debug/obj/gen/third_party/ffmpeg/dsputil_yasm.o'.
