I installed IDM, enabled "Advanced browser integration" and selected chrome (so that the dlls are injected), enabled a key to force downloads to go trough IDM and played for a while with regular navigation (a lot of back and forward) and various downloads (+ cancel them)... and no crash. I clearly see the code going through similar paths from the crashes but nothing unusual. Also, most of the crashes look like off the mill memory corruption so that explains why this is not easy to repro.
