Unfortunately, this isn't something that can be an option. If the icons
should be
monochrome, we need to tell developers that so they can design them
suitably. We
can't do it automatically on our side (well, anyway).
Effectively, the suggested icon design is part of the API. And since we've
already
committed to what we have, I'm against changing it without good reason.
Finally, I still disagree. It may come down to taste, but I personally like
the
colorful icons.
