Comment #46 on issue 13423 by [email protected]: Chrome does not
retrieve proxy settings from the System Preferences
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=13423

4.0.223.11 OS X 10.5.8 Crome -> Preferences -> Under the hood no options for
entering a proxy. Browser
not work behind proxy so office use not possible. Tried: chrome://net-
internals/proxyservice - it seems to
have pulled FF settings:

Automatic settings:
   Auto-detect: No
   Custom PAC script: http://proxy.xyz.net/default.pac
Manual settings:
   Proxy server:
      HTTP: <removed by me!>
      HTTPS: <removed by me!>
   Bypass list:
     *..net
   Bypass local names: No

It pulls in the correct manually configured proxy server within FF but does
not work.
It seemns to ignore the
proxy settings in system preferences as i've changed these and it does not
pull them
when Chrome is
relaunched!

*****Strange!**** Chrome has started working in the office, successfully
negotiating
the proxy. It even shows a status in bottom hand resolving proxy. I started
safari
first in the office then when a page had rendered, launched chrome. Seems
to have
done the job.
