Could someone from the Chrome team please post a short update on the status of this bug? As I've tried to explain in http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail? id=1820#c47, this is a data loss issue, and marking it as WONTFIX based on some nebulous aversion to modal dialogs is less than satisfactory.
