The Right Fix is probably to add a "Search…" menu item that's bound to
cmd-shift-f by
default. Then that works with the system standard shortcut, and the people
who
desperately need cmd-k can override the shortcut for this in sysprefs.
Does chrome/windows anything special on ctrl-k (focus the omnibox in a
special
search mode) or does it just focus the omnibox?
