I just installed the current version of chromium, Dec 7, 2009, and this problem still persists. I have the latest version of Java (if that is pertinent). Because of this problem, those of us who use Yahoo Finance have to manually F-5 the site for constant updates. As you can see, this gets old pretty fast. It is annoying enough so that I will have to go back to Internet Explorer as default browser until it is fixed. What is extra sad is that the first complaints about this go back 8 months.
