All the status widgets seem to suffer from this problem. It may be possible
to reproduce always:
1. Activate Exposé.
2. Move the mouse around in the empty areas until you find a little
invisible window that turns
slightly blue. They can be tricky to find because they move around between
Exposé activations
and may be hiding below regular windows, but just above the dock. See
attached screenshot.
