Comment #3 on issue 29720 by oxford.tuxedo: Delete is mapped to back button http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=29720
If this is intentional, user tests should be conducted on Apple laptop users, as it is my experience that no Apple laptop users use the Delete key to navigate back in the page history. Personally, on a PC, it is my practice to use the Backspace key to navigate back in the page history. However, on a Mac, it is not at all my instinct to use the Delete key (which does, in some contexts, behave the same as the Backspace key on PCs) to navigate back in the page history. Although it may be convention among browsers for the Delete key on an Apple laptop to be used for navigation, it should be user-tested to find out if it is indeed often used for navigation. If it is more often accidentally pressed than it is intentionally used to navigate, the Delete key should lose its navigational functions (at least by default). -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
