I totally agree that what we have now is a lot more usable than before (not regarding those themes which have a gray-on-gray scrollbar "on purpose"). Using CSS-like sheets to apply small hacks to the theme colors would be a great way to allow users to fix the (minor) shortcomings of the current implementation.
