Comment #7 on issue 28930 by Robert.Bradbury: Flash (libflashplayer.so process) consumes excessive CPU http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=28930
Issue #7382 and my comments on that may offer some insight into this problem. The key points being that -- "Its my computer" and the advertisers should not get to consume my CPU or my bandwidth showing things that I have little or less than zero interest in. For example, I have zero interest in supporting Intel or buying their products which I have no interest in (because they largely (in my experience) tend to be a insensitive monopoly (they proceeded to not support a computer camera which I bought more than a decade ago) -- perhaps good executive management (from a financial perspective) but very bad customer relations). So I simply will not (given any other opportunity) purchase their products. And Microsoft of course lost the battle years ago with my perspective because I cannot read their source code. Indeed I will tend to turn away from such pages presenting their products (in spite of the fact that I view both companies as being reasonably technically competent -- rule #1 -- never violate the customer's perspectives on proper/ethical behavior. They may tend to hate you forever. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
