Dennis: do the suggestions in comment #2 or #3 work for you? If you are trying to diagnose performance issues then vmstat, top or chromium's built in task manager (shift-escape) may yield some clues eg. is it a particular renderer on some specific web page that is an issue? How much RAM do you have?
