This thing with my blinking and disappearing mouse pointer still happens now and then (I'm now on version 4.0.266.0) but I haven't found any specific action that causes it. However, the problem goes away by itself after a while. Often when I start Chrome I open quite a few tabs (saved session), 10-12 is not uncommon. I've noticed today, after restarting Chrome for one reason or another, that the cursor problem starts right away and then, after some time (I haven't kept track of how long), everything is back to normal.
