I love Chrome except I hate this. I have the right-click, new tab doesn't work problem all the time. Just got a new laptop and hoped it would be fixed with the new Chrome install. No such luck. I agree completely that it is related to processor load. I like to do research by opening lots of tabs and then reviewing them all.
