Comment #6 on issue 22432 by [email protected]: Pogo Games will not work
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=22432

This is not limited to Chrome browser. For some reason Pogo just simply
does not
work well with linux! I am running Kubuntu on one computer, Ubuntu 9.10 on
another
one. I have yet to find a browser that will work well with Pogo!

Chrome crashes (as mentioned above)
Epiphany ran fairly well, with the occasional crash (about every 3rd game),
until a
couple of updates ago (Java link broken)
Opera 10.xx simply will not run (similar crash as Chrome)
Konqueror will not run (java problems)
Firefox 3.5 will run all the games I have tried on Pogo but has lots of
problems with
audio. The audio file will go into a continuous loop after winning a game
and
becomes very annoying. The game will continue to run, though.
Honestly, the best luck I have had is to run Opera for windoze in Wine. Of
the 6
browsers currently on this machine it is the only one that works with Pogo
consistently!
All except Epiphany are running current sun java and current flash player.
All will
pass a java test and will play games at other sites, both java and flash.
I don't
know what is different about the Pogo/EA site but something is NOT standard
and
definitely only plays well with Windoze! I can even set Opera up to spoof
Internet
Explorer but it still won't run Pogo!

Does anybody have any answers other than using the old windoze laptop? I
am getting
more curious about this by the day...I have played with Pogo on linux
machines off
and on for several years. It seems when one browser starts working
something will
change to break it in just a couple of months!
