@nbarkus: There isn't 1:1 ratio between number of tabs open and total  
number of
chrome.exe processes. There is always one extra process (browser process)  
and there
could be extra chrome.exe processes for plugins (like flash), extensions.  
Also
sometimes tabs share a single chrome.exe.

But all of them should go away when you close every window of Chrome  
(including any
Chrome "app" windows). So if you are seeing remaining chrome.exe processes,  
can you get
the command line of those?
