New issue 31432 by [email protected]: Listening to mediakeys should stop
them from going to the OS too
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=31432

Chrome Version : 4.0.266.0 (Official build 33992)
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
      Safari 4: FAIL
   Firefox 3.x: FAIL
          IE 7: n/a
          IE 8: n/a

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have a music/video webapp that wants to listen to the mediakeys
2. Have a musicplayer running in the background
3. Press for example play/pause button (keyCode 179) on your keyboard

What is the expected result?
The webapp plays or pauses whatever it was playing. Nothing else happens.

What happens instead?
The music player that was still paused in in the background starts playing
too.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
With webapps being more and more common, I think it would be an improvement
to be able to use mediakeys in online video or music players. But if these
keys also get picked up by video or music players in the background, this
isn't really useful.
