Comment #7 on issue 27743 by mobrien118: Flash does not work in UBUNTU Linux version 9.10 http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=27743
I think I am experiencing this same bug. When I run "google-chrome" from the command line and visit a URL with embedded flash, like "http://www.intellicast.com/Local/WxMap.aspx" I get the error "The following plug-in has crashed: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so" in the status bar thingy. I am running the current, 64-bit beta version of Chrome (4.0.249.43), installed via the provided .deb package, and the most currently released 64-bit version of the Flash Player plugin for Linux. I think THIS MAY have something to do with it: When running the old (.r32) flash plugin, I needed another .so library in the directory because apparently, on my OLD "Pentium 4/HT" doesn't implement ONE command from the EMT64 instruction set. Currently, with the new (r42) flash plugin, it works just fine with firefox without the library. Even with the library in there, Chrome doesn't work with the plugin. FYI: Both Firefox and Opera work correctly with the Flash plugin. Let me know if I can provide anything else to help solve this issue. Thanks! --mobrien118 Here is the output to STDOUT when I encounter the error: --2010-01-03 15:11:38-- https://clients2.google.com/cr/report Resolving clients2.google.com... 74.125.115.101, 74.125.115.113, 74.125.115.100, ...
