Comment #10 on issue 27353 by mr.j.lamb: Google gears crash with high CPU http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=27353
I have exactly the same - has been happening for a few months. These screen shots in report 28490 match what I see. It usually happens when I try to open g-mail from the offline version I need to use, shortly after starting up. After this, the e-mail is either unresponsive, or very slow. Sometimes it says it is synchronizing but is not. The only other thing relentlessly using the cpu then is usually the Norton anti-virus scanner. My chrome is 3.0.195.38, running in XP. Same thing happens in Chrome or if I use Firefox (3.6 beta 3). It has happened in earlier versions of each browser as well. I have tried about five times going through all the google help menus, but have not found anything useful yet. It is easy for me to reproduce - it happens every day! Should I try to post the error report as specified above? -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
