OS + version : Ubuntu hardy
CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 64-bit
window manager: GNOME

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to http://www.google.co.jp/
2. Make IME active, and input "あさひ" into the search box as an IME
composition string.
3. Select a suggestion from the list "朝日新聞". The composition string "あ
さ" is discarded and "朝日新聞" is completed into the box and submitted.
4. Try to input "よ" into the search box.

What is the expected result?

"よ" is inserted.

What happens instead?

"あさひよ" is inserted.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot
and backtrace if possible.

Input method is SCIM.
Also reproduces on Mac.
Works well on Windows.
