It does reproduce in both XP and Vista and reproduced more than 4 different
systems.
Please try to install Chrome from Omaha for both user level and system
level as
mentioned in the original bug report.
Interestingly, most of the time setup.exe is not launched, whn Omaha system
level
installer is launched over user level chrome (omaha) - as per sys monitor.
But I
will get Installation complete message at the end.
